I had my dress custom-made by a local seamstress. I wanted a whimsical, frilly, vintage look with a little bit of a contemporary edge, so I designed a strapless dress with a short, full ivory tulle skirt, a pale-pink silk shantung silk bodice with asymmetric vertical pleats, and an organza fan at the bust. The hem of the skirt was decorated with three rows of ruched pink ribbon.
